VIDEO: Three people are still missing following the devastating floods in Texas on the Fourth of July. The floods in Kerr County caused catastrophic damage, killing more than 130 people. According to the Texas Division of Emergency Management, 26 states provided aid to Texas, including a team from South Carolina. Taskforce One is made up of people across the state who provide aid during emergencies and natural disasters across the nation. One member of that team is from the Midlands, Capt. Joe Dannelly, a firefighter with the Lexington County Fire Service. “It’s right up there with some of the worst devastation that I’ve seen,” said Dannelly. This wasn’t his first deployment, but this one meant something different. “I have a nine-year-old daughter and so it really was like, it hit home. Early on, I sent a message to the director and said, ‘Hey, let’s go to Texas.’”
