A fire just after midnight on Monday destroyed a home on Courtney Street, according to Palmetto Rural Fire Chief Tommy Spivey. Spivey said a pet dog was rescued by the family. No one was hurt. The West Florence Fire Department assisted in the investigation. At this time, the cause of the fire has not released.
