A home on the 2000 block of Nichols Highway in Aynor has “sustained heavy fire damage” Saturday night, according to Horry County Fire Rescue. Officials said there were no reported injuries, and the incident is under control. Horry County Fire Rescue were dispatched at 9:07 p.m. They said the cause of the fire is under investigation. Displaced residents will be offered assistance from the American Red Cross of South Carolina. On Sunday, the Red Cross said they were helping six people involved by “providing financial assistance for immediate needs such as food, clothing, and shelter, along with referrals to much-needed resources.”
