VIDEO: As a way to show appreciation, Carolina Country Music Fest gifted $10,000 to Horry County Fire Rescue Foundation. On Saturday, officials wanted to thank first responders for their work in fighting the Carolina Forest wildfire. The fire first sparked back in March and has now since been extinguished as of this month. The flames burned 2,059 acres in Horry County, and threatened thousands of homes. “This weekend at CCMF, with the support of Coors Light, we had the honor of presenting $10,000 to the Horry County Fire Rescue Foundation—a heartfelt thank-you for always showing up, standing tall, and putting others first,” read a CCMF Facebook post. With it being the 10th university of CCMF, officials thanked first responders for their decade-long commitment and said they’ll continue to stand by them as well.
