A large barn fire was reported in the Townville community of Anderson County. At approximately 11:48 a.m. Sunday, the Townville Volunteer Fire Department dispatched a team to Pine Grove Road regarding a hay barn on fire. Upon arrival, firefighters reported finding a 6,500 square foot hay barn on fire, with more than 250 bales of hay inside. Firefighters were quick to contain the scene, focusing on sections of the fire that threatened other buildings and equipment that were exposed. Additional teams were called out to assist with the fire. The barn was severely damaged by the fire, and no one was reported injured.
