One person was found dead after an apartment fire in Columbia Tuesday. The Columbia-Richland Fire Department said crews responded to the 1700 block of South Beltline Boulevard just after 7:30 a.m.
CRFD said the blaze was found in one room of the apartment and was quickly put out. While searching the property, a person was found inside the unit. The Richland County Coroner’s Office was then called to the scene. No other injuries were reported. The fire remains under investigation.
