The West Glocester Fire Department has been recognized for excellence in training management for 2024 by Lexipol Connect, a consultant that provides comprehensive risk management solutions for public safety and local government.
The Lexipol Connect program tracks and evaluates various agencies across the countryโs performance on five metrics to measure success in training management. The Silver award recognizes consistent and effective online training management, which includes training hours assigned and completions tracked, personnel engagement, and external training activities logged.

Founded in 2003 by Bruce Praet and Gordon Graham, former law enforcement officers and attorneys, Lexipol provides policy management, online training, wellness resources, and risk management solutions to public safety and local government agencies, including law enforcement and fire departments. The company offers a variety of news and information on topics in public safety, as well as accreditation support, webinars and grant services.
Manned by volunteer fire and rescue personnel, the West Glocester Fire Department operates stations on Acciardo Drive and Putnam Pike. The department is always seeking new members. โWe remain committed to maintaining high standards in training management and preparing our personnel to meet the needs of Glocester and surrounding communities,โ the department noted.
