House collapses during fire in Bristol

The Bristol Fire Department said a vacant house collapsed during a fire on Narrows Road on Monday. Firefighters responded to the home after getting a call around 1:15 a.m. Upon arrival, crews discovered the porch and front of the home in flames. Officials said the second floor of the home collapsed onto the first floor, causing a โ€œdefense operation.โ€ After about an hour, firefighters were able to get the fire under control. Officials said the building was vacant and nobody was injured. The State Fire Marshalโ€™s Office is investigating.
