Firefighters responded to a house fire in Little Compton on Monday morning. Multiple fire departments gathered around 102 Long Highway in Little Compton. According to the fire officials, the fire started in the basement and crews started to arrive around 7:30 a.m. Arriving crews noticed heavy smoke billowing from the garage area. Luckily, fire crews were able to keep the smoke and fire damage to the basement, according to fire officials. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
