4 displaced by Providence apartment fire

VIDEO: An investigation is underway into a fire that damaged a Providence home Friday evening. Firefighters rushed to the Indiana Avenue home and found smoke pouring out of the second-floor windows. Everyone inside was able to escape, though one resident was brought to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation, according to Deputy Assistant Fire Chief Joe Paiva. Paiva said four residents have been temporarily displaced, and the home doesn’t appear to be a total loss. The exact cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
