11 displaced after fire in Providence

Eleven people were forced from their home after a fire broke out in Providence Saturday afternoon. Battalion Chief Brian Belhumeur said just after 5 p.m. crews responding to Douglas Avenue were met with heavy flames from outside of a three-story home that were extending to another. The home that flames extended to only sustained exterior damage, according to Belhumeur, while the other one isnโ€™t habitable for the time being. Nobody suffered any injuries. No word yet on what caused the fire, which is under investigation.
