SEPTA Paoli station reopens after train fire injures employee

VIDEO: A SEPTA Paoli/Thorndale line train caught fire at the Paoli station on Tuesday night. SkyForce10 was over the scene just past 11:30 p.m. to find smoke rising from the train due to the fire that began in the rear car, officials said. Fire crews were actively working to put out the fire when SkyForce10 was overhead. However, the fire appeared to be mostly out by midnight. Lancaster Avenue was closed in both directions between Darby Road and Paoli Pike due to police and fire activity. SEPTA officials said no passengers were on board at the time of the fire, but crew were on the train at the time and they were quickly evacuated.
