A fire at a former tissue plant in Ransom Township has been ruled an arson. Pennsylvania State Police said the fire occurred at the vacant Cascade Tissue plant at 1 Main Street in the early hours of Wednesday morning. Photos from NEPA Fire Photography showed the intense flames. The fire originated near the roof and spread throughout half of the building before it was extinguished. The roof collapsed into the building as the fire burned.
Troopers said the property had been vacant for about four years and had no electric or other utilities going into the structure. An Audi A6 vehicle was captured on camera in the parking lot prior to the fire, troopers said.
