New facility unites fire, ambulance, emergency ops under one roof in Chestnuthill Township

VIDEO: The Chestnuthill Township Shared Emergency Services Facility has officially opened its doors, providing a centralized hub for emergency response in the area. The facility houses the West End Fire Company, LVHN Ambulance services, and Chestnuthill Township Emergency Operations. The new building will enhance collaboration between the agencies and the community, particularly during catastrophic events. The shared facility aims to streamline operations and improve response times, ensuring that emergency services can work together more effectively in times of need.

“As excited as the first members were about that first Buffalo truck you see in there, and the members who built the original station, the members who put on the addition, if they were all alive today to see this building, they’d be happy. It’s the first time all emergency services have been centered in the West End for the most part,” said Chestnuthill Township Board of Supervisors Chairman Chuck Gould. The facility will host a public open house later in May.
