Multiple first responders called after fire breaks out inside Pine Township home

VIDEO: Fire officials from multiple departments worked to battle heavy smoke and flames after a home caught fire in Allegheny County on Monday evening. Sky 4, Pittsburgh’s only news chopper, flew over the scene on the 11100 block of Babcock Boulevard in Pine Township just after 4 p.m. Large amounts of smoke could be seen coming from the home as multiple first responders worked to put out flames.

It appeared the rear of the home sustained the most damage. Officials told Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 at the scene that the homeowner was inside the house at the time of the fire but was able to make it out safely. No one was injured as a result of the fire. The Fire Marshal was said to have been called to the scene to investigate the cause.
