Firefighter injured after fire breaks out at a warehouse in Pittsburgh

VIDEO: A firefighter suffered a knee injury while battling a four-alarm fire that broke out inside a linen laundering business warehouse in Pittsburgh’s Lawrenceville neighborhood early Saturday morning. Allegheny County dispatch confirmed to Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 that police and firefighters were on the scene within the 40 block of 51st Street following reports of flames coming from inside a commercial building. Officials said crews were battling a four-alarm fire, with billows of heavy smoke emitting from the building as firefighters worked to douse the flames. Fire officials said the fire started just after 10 a.m. The fire was said to have expanded rapidly throughout the industrial space, where a linen laundering business had operated.
