Emergency training exercise conducted at Harrisburg International Airport

VIDEO: People at or near Harrisburg International Airport may have noticed increased activity on Saturday.

The full-scale emergency exercise included airport personnel, mutual aid fire and emergency medical services providers, the Pennsylvania Air National Guard, the Red Cross, and about 50 volunteers.

This exercise started at 9 a.m. at the airport in Middletown. The Federal Aviation Administration requires all commercial service airports to conduct a drill of their airport emergency plan every 36 months.
