VIDEO: The Centre Hall Fire Company is set to celebrate its 150th anniversary Saturday with a parade and festival, marking the first parade in over a decade for the town.
The celebration will kick off with a parade at noon, followed by a festival at the fire station featuring games, food, raffles, and free gifts for children. The day will conclude with a fireworks show at 7:30 p.m. Rip ticket games will be available throughout the day, ensuring there’s something for everyone.
“It’s important to take a moment and acknowledge the accomplishments of the fire company at this time,” Centre Hall Fire Company Chief Brian Tice said. “To reflect on where we’ve come from, talk about where we’d like to go in the future, and just reminisce.”
The fire company is still welcoming floats and any fire companies that want to participate in the parade. Organizers hope to pack the town for what they anticipate will be one of the biggest parades Centre Hall has ever seen.
