1 dead in Cumberland County house fire

The Cumberland County Coroner has confirmed that one person died as a result of a house fire in Hampden Township.

According to the coroner, 80-year-old Rosemary Baker, the sole resident of the home, died in the fire.

The coroner says Baker was found after an extensive search of the home using fire company personnel from multiple fire companies, as well as a cadaver dog from Task Force 1.

Dispatch said the fire was on the 1000 block of Orrs Bridge Road in Hampden Township.

The initial call came in around Sunday 2 a.m., according to dispatch.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
