Oregon City man killed in crash on rural Clackamas County road

A 64-year-old Oregon City man died on April 4 after his motorcycle collided with a car in unincorporated Clackamas County, authorities said. The crash happened at 5:07 p.m. in the 24000 block of South Springwater Road, according to the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office.

Brent Bjorkman was riding a 2022 Harley-Davidson cruiser when it hit a 2024 Toyota Camry that was turning into a driveway, deputies reported. A responding deputy immediately began lifesaving efforts on Bjorkman, but he died at the scene, the sheriff’s office stated.

A passenger on the motorcycle sustained critical injuries and was taken to a Portland-area hospital, officials said. The driver of the Camry was not seriously injured and is cooperating with investigators, according to authorities. The inter-agency Criminal Reconstruction and Forensic Technicians team responded to continue the investigation, the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office said.
