The increased staffing from the Oregon State Fire Marshal’s Summer Staffing Grant also played a key role in community protection. A type 6 brush engine from Mohawk Valley remains deployed to the Flat Fire near Sisters. These collaborative efforts underscore the importance of local and regional partnerships in fire management.
