VIDEO: First responders with Klamath County Fire District No. 1 were recently recognized for their life-saving actions during a residential fire last month.
Firefighters were dispatched to a home on Martin Street, where they learned a woman was trapped inside and critically injured.
Just five minutes after arriving on scene, the crew located and rescued the woman, immediately providing emergency medical care. Firefighters then began transporting her to the hospital, where she received further treatment.
Officials say the responders’ quick actions and coordinated rescue were critical in saving the woman’s life. The department recognized the crew for their professionalism and decisive response during a high-risk emergency.
