Gas leak at Aloha High School prompts building evacuation, firefighters say

PHOTOS: A gas leak forced students and staff out of Aloha High School on Friday morning, Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue said. The gas leak was reported at about 10 a.m., and NW Natural Gas crews said they had gas readings back to a normal range by noon.

The Washington County Sheriffโ€™s Office helped with a โ€œcontrolled evacuation of students and staff” as a precaution. NW Natural and Portland General Electric shut off gas and power, ventilating the building until it was safe for people to return. There were no reports of injuries. TVF&R said Hillsboro Fire also helped with the emergency response.
