Crews quickly contain three-acre field fire in Lane County with aerial support

VIDEO/PHOTOS: Pleasant Hill Goshen Fire crews responded Tuesday afternoon to a field fire in the 33500 block of Hampton Road. On arrival, units found a cut hay field actively burning โ€” including grass and several hay bales โ€” with flames being driven uphill toward a home by strong winds. Crews deployed mobile fire attack tactics, pumping water while on the move to contain the spread. With aerial support from a Lane County Sheriff’s Office drone, the fire was mapped and confirmed to be fully contained at three acres. Pleasant Hill Goshen Fire says a haybale became trapped in machinery and ignited the fire. There were no injuries reported.
