VIDEO: Small fires totaling less than two acres, burning near Bullard Canyon Trail east of Lakeview, prompted the Lake County Sheriffโs Office to briefly issue level one be ready evacuation notices for E Street in the town of Lakeview. It canceled that notice Monday afternoon. Two task forces with the Oregon State Fire Marshalโs office are mobilizing in Lakeview to provide resources for the new fires. They were previously assisting on the nearby Elk Fire. The Task Force teams are from Clatsop and Marion Counties because the threat to homes and the surrounding community has diminished. They will no longer be needed on the Elk Fire. Additionally, the two remaining OSFM task forces returned home on Monday.
