Two dead after fire breaks out at Duncan home

Officials with the Duncan Police Department reported two people died Sunday after a house caught fire. Just before 1:20 a.m. Sunday, Duncan police and fire crews responded to the fire in the 400 block of North N Street. At the scene, emergency crews located the body of one victim. Another victim was being transported to a local hospital but died from their injuries before arriving at the hospital, officials reported in a news release. โ€œDetectives from the Duncan Police Department, in partnership with the Oklahoma State Fire Marshalโ€™s Office, are conducting a thorough investigation to determine the cause of the fire. This remains an active and ongoing investigation. No other details will be released at this time. Our hearts go out to the families affected by this incident,โ€ officials said.
