A person died in a house fire Sunday night in Marshall County. The alarm went out at 10:40 p.m. at a residence in the 17100 block of State Highway 32, six miles west of Kingston, and the first units arrived within five minutes. “During the course of suppressing the fire, one person was located within the house and that person sadly did not survive the blaze,” Willis-Powell Fire Department Chief Cade Webb said in a written statement. “The house was a total loss.” The victim’s name was not released. Wade said the State Fire Marshal’s Office and the State Medical Examiner are investigating.
