Olive VFD in Drumright introduces new brush truck

The Olive Volunteer Fire Department introduced the first new brush truck it has received since 2006. Brush 2 is a 2024 Ford F450 specially designed wildland truck. Olive Fire said the truck was purchased using county ARPA funds, county fire sales tax funds and department budget funds.

The truck carries 300 gallons of water, three gallons of Class A foam, a 250-gpm pump, 100 feet of hose, and a variety of tools. This is the first new brush truck Olive Fire has received since 2006.

Not only will the truck serve the citizens of Olive and mutual aid partners, but it will also serve with the county wildland task force that deploys anywhere in the state at the request of emergency management or forestry service. Olive Fire thanks tax payers, county commissioners and staff for making the truck purchase possible.
