Firefighters knocked down northwest Oklahoma City apartment fire

Oklahoma City Fire crews responded to a fire at Wedgewood Village Apartments Saturday morning. According to officials, crews responded to the area near Northwest Expressway and Wedgewood Circle at around 3:20 a.m. Saturday. Firefighters arrived to flames coming from the exterior of the apartment complex. It was later confirmed that the fire started from the balcony of a second-floor unit. Firefighters were said to have evacuated one person from the unit. The condition of the individual is unknown at this time. The scene of the fire is under further investigation.
