VIDEO: A conveyor belt at the Holcim cement plant in Ada caught on fire Friday morning. Ada firefighters were called to the scene around 6:45 a.m. Nobody was hurt, and the plant switched over to natural gas to remain open.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but officials told KTEN they believe it could have been a roller bearing that sparked the flames. Holcim said the cement plant at 14500 County Road 1550 was established 119 years ago, before Oklahoma became a state.
