Family displaced after crews battle Hamilton house fire

VIDEO: Several people are displaced tonight after a house fire in Hamilton that destroyed more than 30 years of memories. Three people and one dog are without a home after a fire broke out on Lilliedale Lane Thursday night.

Hamilton Fire Department Deputy Chief Matt Garland said crews were dispatched around 6 pm for a structure fire, including three engines, two ladders and four medics. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered all residents had made it out of the home safely, but weโ€™re reporting their dog was missing.

โ€œWe were able to rescue that dog, and he appeared to be safe when he came out. One of the homeowners took him away,โ€ Garland said. Deputy Chief Garland said the entire home, except a bedroom, was destroyed by the flames.
