2 adults, 3 children hospitalized after Columbus house fire

VIDEO: Two adults and three children were hospitalized following a house fire in the Hilltop neighborhood Monday morning. The fire happened in the 400 block of South Harris Avenue near Sullivant Avenue around 5 a.m. Columbus Fire Battalion Chief Jeffrey Geitter said there were multiple people outside of the house when firefighters arrived.

He added that firefighters had to enter the home to rescue a child. The two adults were taken to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in “stable” condition.

The children were taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Columbus Fire said a 14-year-old is in serious condition, a 7-year-old is in critical condition and a 4-year-old is described as stable.

He added that the adults were the parents of the children. Itโ€™s unclear how the fire may have started.
