VIDEO: One person has been displaced after escaping from a house fire in Akron early Wednesday morning. The Akron Fire Department tells 3News that firefighters responded to reports of a structure fire shortly before 5 a.m. in the 300 block of Watson Street where they found “heavy fire conditions” upon their arrival.
In addition to heavy fire showing on the first floor of the two-story home, a press release said additional fire was found in the back of the house/porch area. Nobody was hurt during the incident, according to the Akron Fire Department.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Fire officials also said there were no smoke detectors found.
