Fargo Fire crews responded to a house fire in the early morning hours on Friday, Nov. 28. Emergency crews were called to a home in the 1400 block of 1st Avenue South just after 6 a.m. Thatโs just east of University Drive and south of Main Avenue.
Firefighters arriving on scene found smoke and flames near the front entry of the house. A second alarm was called to bring in additional crews and the fire was extinguished about 30 minutes later.
Fire Marshal Ryan Erickson says the house was vacant and no one was hurt. A damage estimate is not yet available and the cause is still under investigation.
The Fargo Fire Department responded with two battalion chiefs, five engines and one ladder truck. The Fire Department was assisted by the North Dakota Highway Patrol, Salvation Army, Sanford Ambulance and Fargo Police Department.
