Fire near Burlington fully contained, burns roughly 1,500 acres

VIDEO: Various fire departments responded to a grass fire Sunday near the Highway 2 and 52 split by Burlington, west of Minot. Burlington Fire Chief Karter Lesmann said as of around 6 p.m., the fire had burned 1,500 acres. As of around 8:15 p.m. the fire was fully contained. Some firefighters will remain on scene putting out hotspots.

The fire chief said at the time there were no injuries or structures impacted. He said crews from Minot Rural, Berthold, Surrey, Carpio, Kenmare, Minot Air Force Base, and the Forest Service assisted Burlington.
