A home and garage in Minot sustained extensive damage after a fire broke out early Saturday morning. According to the Minot Fire Department, crews responded to a house fire around 4:30 a.m. in the 4600 block of 16th Avenue Southeast.
When firefighters arrived, they saw flames and smoke coming from a home with a detached garage. Crews searched both structures while putting out the fire and found no one inside. The fire was contained to the home and garage. Both sustained extensive damage. The property owner was not home at the time, and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
