Richland County Dispatch received a report of grain dryer fire at approximately 10:15 P.M., October 13, located at 16675 73rd St SE. The Mooreton Fire Department was immediately dispatched and upon arrival, requested mutual aid for a water supply from the Colfax and Walcott Fire Departments.
Firefighters worked to bring the situation under control, and the Mooreton Fire Department cleared the scene around 12:05 AM on Tuesday. No injuries were reported as a result of the fire. The extent of the damage to the grain dryer is currently unknown. Authorities confirmed that there were no injuries to civilians or emergency personnel during the incident.
