Woman rescued from house fire in Gaston County

A woman was rescued from a house fire outside Gastonia early Monday morning, according to Ranlo Fire and Rescue. The fire occurred in Dallas, North Carolina off Highway 321 on Ole Home Trail. Ranlo Fire and Rescue was dispatched to the house fire to assist Agriculture Center Fire Department at 3:12 a.m. Firefighters arrived on the scene to heavy smoke billowing from the house and a woman trapped on the roof. Firefighters rescued the woman off the roof and extinguished the fire shortly after. Multiple volunteer fire departments were involved in the rescue, including Dallas FD, North Gaston FD and Spencer Mountain FD. There were no reported injuries except for an animal death caused by smoke inhalation.
