Two firefighters were injured Monday morning after the fire truck they were traveling in overturned in Dobson, according to Surry County Emergency Services. EMS officials said the firefighters were responding to a call Monday morning when their vehicle overturned. They were both taken to local medical facilities with non-life-threatening injuries. Surry County EMS said the two firefighters belonged to the Central Surry Volunteer Fire Department. Central Surry told WFMY News 2 that the firefighters have since been released from the hospital. The fire truck was the only vehicle involved in the accident.
