VIDEO: For the first time since that fateful day, the parents of the baby delivered in the back of an ambulance were reunited with the EMS responders. On March 30th, Margie Watkins was on the way to the hospital from Brunswick County when her water broke with BCEMS staff quickly jumping into action. โAs soon as I heard that, I started looking for a place to pull over,โ said BCEMS responder Kiya Banks. The ambulance was reportedly 6 minutes away from the hospital, seeing the lights in the distance, but it was too late. โWhen my water broke I was like, oh gosh yeah this is definitely happening, in here!โ said mom Margie Watkins. โI think thatโs when I whispered the magic, โok weโre gonna not scream and weโre gonna use all that energy to pushโ and then out she came,โ said Banks.
