No one was hurt after Charlotte firefighters responded to an east Charlotte home Wednesday night. The fire broke out at a home in the 6900 block of Carriageway Lane. Firefighters reported seeing smoke coming from the second floor of the home. It took 30 firefighters almost half an hour to control the flames. Thankfully, there were no reported injuries to civilians or firefighters. Residents and two dogs were displaced by the fire. Officials believe the fire was accidental. It is estimated that the blaze caused $70,000 in damage.
