PHOTOS: A Gaston County home is considered a total loss after an explosion reportedly occurred on its back porch Tuesday morning.
The fire broke out around 7:15 a.m. on Nov. 11 at a residence on Southbrook Drive in Kings Mountain.
Officials said that after receiving reports of the explosion, crews quickly responded, found an active fire, and extinguished it in about an hour.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, though it is believed to have been accidental.
No injuries were reported, but the house was destroyed and three people have been displaced, according to officials.
