Fire breaks out in Greensboro

VIDEO: A fire in Greensboro created a plume of smoke visible for miles on Wednesday. At about 6:55 p.m. Wednesday, emergency crews responded to the fire on the 1700 block of Westridge Road in Greensboro. When they arrived, heavy fire was visible. A second alarm was issued at 7:43 p.m. as crews faced a need for additional support, according to the fire commander.

Guilford County EMS tells FOX8 that no injuries have been reported. Emergency crews have contacted the Red Cross to assist occupants and their pets, all of which were found unharmed. Westridge Road was closed in both directions from Brookcliff Drive to Deep Green Drive.
