Fire breaks out at apartment complex in Greensboro; no injuries reported, firefighters say

Greensboro firefighters battled a fire in a high-rise apartment complex Monday. The Greensboro Fire Department says the fire happened around 11:43 a.m. at Hall Towers on North Church Street. The fire broke out in the kitchen area of one of the apartments, according to firefighters. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. No one was hurt, and the fire was brought under control. Officials say two apartments were impacted โ€” the one where the fire started and a neighboring unit with smoke damage. Residents from both are being relocated. It’s unclear how many people were in each of these apartments.
