3 families displaced after Wake Forest fire causes ‘significant damage’ to apartment complex

A fire at an apartment complex in the Wake Forest area displaced three families and caused โ€œsignificant damageโ€ Saturday night, officials said.

The fire was reported around 10:10 p.m. at 9128 Sugar Hollow Lane, which is off Sugar Gap Road near the intersection of Forestville and Rogers roads, according to Raleigh-Wake Emergency Communications Center.

The Wake Forest Fire Department initially responded to the fire, which appeared to be at the Bexley at Heritage apartments.

โ€œCause of fire unknown. Apartment complex suffered significant damage,โ€ Wake Forest spokesman Bill Crabtree said in a short email to CBS 17.

Crabtree added that no one was injured in the fire.

Wake Forest fire units requested assistance from the Youngsville Fire Department, Northern Wake Fire, Rolesville Fire Department, New Hope Fire, and the Wendell Fire Department.
