In June, 2025 the North Carolina General Assembly implemented a new county boundary between Catawba and Lincoln counties.

BCEMS purchased the seven new ambulances in fiscal year 2024 for $2,669,895, funded by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and the county’s general funds.
