VIDEO: Emergency crews responded to a fire at the USA Gas station at the intersection of Routes 67 and 50 in Ballston Spa on Friday. The fire broke out just after 10:30 a.m. โWe had our triannual inspections with DEC about a week and a half, two weeks ago and we passed. They came and checked every pump and all the tanks and all the sumps,โ said Erin Ozbay, one of the owners. Route 67, Route 50, and Ballston Avenue were all closed during the fire operation but have since reopened. The Saratoga County Sheriffโs Office stated that several people were minorly injured, but no serious injuries were reported. โThereโs two other gas stations right next to us, everythingโs on the ground,โ explained Ozbay. โYou never know, yโknow? So Iโm just thankful that the fire department put it under control and everyoneโs okay.โ
