A fire investigation is underway after a person was found dead inside a recreational vehicle in San Juan County. Firefights with San Juan County Fire and Rescue responded to the fire on Road 3546. Crews arrived to find the vehicle on fire with a person still inside around 3:40 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 9.
The person was found dead after the flames were extinguished. The vehicle was deemed a total loss. The name of the person who died has not been released. The San Juan County Joint Fire and Explosion Investigation Task Force is leading the investigation. Officials said there are no signs of foul play in a release on Monday, Nov. 10.
