Dona Ana Fire Rescue pulls 3 from the Rio Grande

Three people were rescued Sunday from potentially drowning in the Rio Grande, a Dona Ana County Public Safety social media release said. Dona Ana County Fire Rescue personnel responded just before noon to an emergency drowning call. They went into the river and pulled three people out of the water safely. No injuries were reported. Thanks were given to the Mesilla and Las Cruces fire departments for their assistance, the release said.
