7 displaced in northwest Albuquerque house fire

Albuquerque Fire Rescue (AFR) responded to a house fire Saturday night that displaced seven people. Around 5:00 p.m., AFR was dispatched to a northwest Albuquerque two-story home after reports that three people were trapped on the balcony.

AFR says all three were rescued and taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Fire crews say they were able to bring the fire under control within minutes.

The Red Cross came to the scene to help, but the seven people displaced by the fire said they would be able to stay with family members in the meantime. AFR is still investigating the cause of the fire.
